This juice is packed with a delicious combination of tang and spicy. Perfect for an energizing morning treat or a revitalizing pick-me-up during the day!

Ingredients:

Here’s a list of all the ingredients you need. As always, feel free to spice things up with your favorite veggie or replace any ingredient that you can’t eat.

  • 5 Carrots, Medium-sized
  • 1″ Piece of Ginger
  • 1/2 Lime
  • 1/4 Cup Cilantro
  • Pinch of Cayenne Pepper (add to finished juice)

Tip: To clean your cilantro, you can prepare a quick vegetable rinse. Fill a large cup with lukewarm water and add a tablespoon of vinegar and a pinch of salt. Soak the cilantro for a few minutes, squeeze out any extra water and rinse under running water.

Helpful utensils:

You’ll need a juicer for this recipe, either a centrifugal juicer or a masticating juicer.

To make this juicing session even more fun and enjoyable, here are a few useful things you may want to use:

We’re all set! Let’s start juicing!

Instructions:

Time needed: 10 minutes

  1. Clean the ingredients

Use a vegetable brush to clean the carrots thoroughly under running water. Don’t peel the carrots – there’s tons of nutrients in the top layers.

  2. Peel the ginger

I usually recommend peeling your ginger, even if it’s organic. Sometimes the peel can turn the juice a tad bitter.

  3. Halve and peel the lime

Wash the lime before peeling. Halve it and peel the other half. Store the other halt for later use (or for garnishing).

  4. Clean and wash the cilantro

If you’re using organic cilantro, rinse it well under running water. For conventional produce, you may want to prepare a quick vegetable rinse. When your cilantro is clean, squeeze out the extra water and roll it into a neat little ball. This makes it easier to juice this green tasty treat.

  5. Ready, set, juice!

Add half of the carrots in the juicer, then the other ingredients. Finish off by adding the rest of the carrots. This way, you’ll flush out all the cilantro into your delicious juice, too.

  6. Add some heat (optional)

If you’re looking for a proper pick-me-up, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to your juice for a little extra kick.

Pour over ice and enjoy!
